When raw, have a dark olive green colour with dark and light stripes. Native to Thailand and SE Asia, our shrimp are farmed, ensuring consistent size and quality.
Unpeeled - deep orange colour with stripes. Firm meaty texture, deep orange pigment on surface, very white flesh, mild sweet flavour.
Store chilled in ice or refrigerator (0-5C) until ready to cook. Consume within 2-3 days. Do not freeze.
Extremely versatile. Cooking whole provides more of the flavour and colour from the shell. BBQ, grill, boil in salt water, peel and pan-fry in butter and garlic, add to Tom Yum or to seafood pasta dish. Overcooking will make shrimp tough. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
